African Slavery came as a result of tribes warring each other for whatever reasons. The ugly fact is that giving up fellow Africans to the white man was a bonus for them. The thought of getting rid of their tribal enemies all by itself was enough motivation, and much more so, for mirrors, weapons, and whatever else they could gain. People can conjecture on many things concerning the triangular trade from Europe to Africa, to the Caribbean and back to Europe... but the fact that it could not have happen without the help of African natives is a foregone conclusion.
